Introduction
The Power of Identity: How to Find Your True Being. What if you could learn to benefit from real-life tools that increase your faith and widen your perspective to see new possibilities for your life? What if Yahweh himself gave you a blueprint for handling your life? Well, the Bible is a practical book. Let us dive in and see what it has to say about who you are. I like to start by clarifying that the Bible is not a religious book. The Bible is a book about a king, a kingdom, a royal family, and the naturalisation of a foreign land called Earth. Yahweh created man, and when I say man, I mean mankind (Adam and Eve), because Yahweh named them Adam, and Adam later named her Eve.
Yahweh created man to rule over the earth and oversee it as an extension of Himself. People who claim that we are destroying the earth because we are multiplying, replenishing, and subduing it do not know what they are talking about. They do not understand that Yahweh placed us here as stewards, of all the resources. You must understand that Yahweh chose you to be one of His kings. Who are you on the scale of things?
Who Am I Meant To Be?
Meant to Rule.
He is the king of kings, and you are the king or queen of your assignment. When you realise that you are kings and queens ruling over an assignment given to you by the king of kings, you will understand. Then you use that assignment to serve the people you meet, and it changes your life forever. When you realise who you are, you are fulfilled, you have a purpose, you have joy, and you can also have financial success. Whoever you are, these are the things I like to teach people. So, how do you find out what your assignment is?
Identity
Who You Are.
Everything begins with an identity. The first thing the Bible tells us is that “in the beginning, Yahweh created the heavens and the earth.” So when you think of Yahweh, you say He is good, He is holy, or He is omnipotent, omniscient, and omnipresent. And, while all of that is true, none of it is the first thing Yahweh says about Himself. So, what is the first thing Yahweh says about Himself? “In the beginning, Yahweh created the heavens and the earth.” Yahweh is creative, and it is in his nature to create. Not only is it significant that Yahweh is creative, but it is also significant that this is the first thing He says about Himself.
Because the first thing Yahweh told you about yourself was that He made you in His image, which means He gave you the ability to create things and made you creative. So, when people say, “I do not know what my purpose is,” it is because they are unaware of who they are or what they are based on. And you will realise that Yahweh is creative, and He created you in His image. He created you to be creative, and He created you to make things. You will realise that you have been placed here to create things that serve other people and please Yahweh, and that is your purpose. Your mission is to live in your creative space and improve the world.
Same Identity, Different Task
My senior brother, Pastor David, is a brilliant musician; I would not consider myself a musician. Why did Yahweh not make me a musician? It is not my assignment, so there are things my brother David can do that I cannot, and things I can do that my brother cannot. Why? Because Yahweh did not assign the same task to everyone, He imbued you with a different aspect of His creativity so that when we come together, we can support and complement each other. So, your assignment and purpose are to live in your creative space and make the world a better place, and then you rule over that assignment.
Servant King
We Are Here To Serve Mankind
What does this mean? The plumber controls the flow of water so that he can serve it to the people. The carpenter has control over the shape of the wood, allowing him to serve the people with furniture and buildings. The teacher rules over the truth to teach it to the people; we all have a task. The musicians have authority over the sounds of the musical instruments they play to serve music to the people. It is all about using the creativity that Yahweh has placed in you to create things that improve the lives of others. When you enhance the lives of others, your life improves automatically, monetarily, and socially.
It improves from a place of self-value rather than self-esteem. You will begin to value yourself, not for some inflated reason, but because you have done something to improve the life of someone else. That is how you discover clues to your assignment and purpose. So, you believe that you have discovered your assignment. How do you begin in terms of how you can serve people with your gift and even let people know that you are doing so? Service to others begins with the intention of making someone’s life better when you see that a smile and a “hello” can make someone’s life better.
It could have been someone on their way to commit suicide, and you said hello with a smile as if you genuinely cared about them. And then they changed their minds. Every day, ask yourself, “How can I serve someone?” from the bottom of your heart.
Mind Of Christ
What Is On Your Mind?
Philippians 2:5–11 says, “Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus; who, being in the form of God thought it not robbery to be equal with God: but made himself of no reputation and took upon him the form of a servant, was made in the likeness of men: and being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself and became obedient under death, even the death of the cross.” Therefore, Yeshua was aware of who He was, and He was aware of this even when others did not accept His identity. The first thing that Yahweh told man was to be fruitful, do increase, do replenish, do subdue, and do have dominion.
You must learn to own your identity. Therefore, being speaks to your identity, He said, be-do-do-do-have. Why are you called a human being rather than a human doing or a human habit? Because that is your identity. All you need to do is consider your manner of introduction, even if you say, “Well, I am an atheist; I do not believe in Yahweh.” Okay, you said you are an atheist who does not believe in God; you had to tell me who He was before you could tell me who you are. You stated that you are an atheist, so you stated who Yahweh is in your declaration that you are an atheist.
Who Am I Meant To Be?
So, when you realise that your identity is derived from the truth and that you were created in the image of an omniscient, omnipresent, and omnipotent God, you realise that there is nothing you cannot do. You may not be able to do everything right now, but you will be able to figure it out; however, a dog, cat, horse, or squirrel will not be able to figure it out because Yahweh did not create them in His image. When it says, “Let this mind be in you, which also is in Christ Jesus, who is in the form of God,” I know that I am made in the image of Yahweh. Yahweh created man from the dust of the ground.
So, once I know who I am, the only way for me to understand my identity is to accept and yield to his identity. He is the creator; I am not the creator; therefore, when I place myself under his authority and yield to that authority, I can now own my identity. “But he thought it not robbery to be equal with God, but he made himself of no reputation.” Yeshua had a brief presentation, but it was so powerful that people would drop everything and follow him. His presentation consisted of only two words: “Follow me.” It made me wonder how His presentation could be so brief and yet so powerful, and the answer was because of everything He was.
So many people try to compensate for their lack of substance with words; however, if you become more in being, you can say less and have a greater impact, as Yeshua did.
Double Sided
Are You Two-Faced?
You cannot accomplish anything without influence; which comes from who you are, what you know about yourself, how you live your life, and how closely you walk with the Lord. Therefore, it could be so important in so many different types of businesses. So, let’s say someone figures out their assignment; they figure out how to serve others, and that is all about economics; it is about you serving others. They begin to accumulate as they serve others, and you allow your money to work rather than you doing the work. In life, there are ups and downs, as well as level times. People say I am happy because my life is good, which implies that you cannot be happy if your life is hard.
Life seems dull right now since everything is level, but the best thing about life is that you can be happy whether things are good or bad. You can be happy when times are hard and happy when things are good. However, what makes it such is not what is happening around you, but rather what is happening inside of you; it is a dialogue about perspective and positioning. Have you ever seen a one-sided piece of paper? What about a one-sided piece of bread? How about a one-sided pancake? Or a one-sided coin? Well, because it does not exist and because it cannot exist.
Action Or Reaction.
Nothing can exist with only one side. Therefore, every action has a corresponding and opposing reaction; every negative is a positive; and every positive is a negative, which means that you get the side you focus on. Why? Since that is what you are going to amplify, that is what you are going to magnify; that is what you are going to multiply; that is the side you are focused on. The same things that happened to Joseph happened to Jacob as a father. When Jacob found out, he said, “All these things are against me.” Once Joseph revealed himself to his brothers, he said, “You meant it for evil, but God meant it for good.”
It had both sides. Joseph saw the right side, the proper side, and realised that whatever happens to you happens for you. Everything that happens to you happens for you, and the amazing thing is that you can choose which side of the situation you look at. The difference is your perspective and positioning, and when you learn how to position yourself and have the right perspective up, down, or sideways, you have the potential to improve your life.
Call To Action
What To Do Next.
Nothing can exist with only one side, so when you find yourself in a painful situation, try to work your way around to the other side and see if you can figure out what the benefits of that painful situation are. What can you learn from it? The pain is real, but when you are in Yeshua Hamashiach and understand the end game, the real end game is that you are more than conquerors through Him who loved you.
